In Islamic law

Muslims frequently include instructions on end-of-life care, washing, shrouding and burial. These belong here rather than in the will, which is often not read until after burial.

In Canadian law

Often combined with a power of attorney for personal care. Not a will, and it has no effect on property.

Across the madhahib
