Saskatchewan's Muslim cemetery for the Regina community, at Richardson roughly 20 km south of the city (IAOS gives the location as Fleet Street South near the Regina Bypass, postal code S0G 4G0). Built by the Islamic Society of Regina, which raised $300,000, owns the 20 acres of land, and opened it in 2021 after about two and a half years of work. IAOS Regina's burial program also buries here and covers the plot plus grave opening and closing. Two contact routes: ISR's Shahid Khawaja on 306-209-3912, or the IAOS funeral line on 306-201-6545. No cemetery office phone, plot inventory or per-plot price list is published - a family should call before relying on availability.

Mosques that bury here

These organisations name this cemetery on their own funeral pages. That is confirmation from the masjid, not from the cemetery.

Arranging a burial here

  1. Contact the masjid handling the janazah first — most cemeteries deal with the funeral provider rather than the family directly.
  2. Ask what the plot costs and, separately, what opening and closing the grave costs. They are almost always billed apart, and the second surprises people.
  3. Ask whether the section faces qiblah and what markers are permitted.
  4. See what a Muslim burial costs across Canada before you commit — plot prices vary more than fourfold between cities.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: whether there is a designated Muslim section, whether plots are available. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
