Charity with continuing benefit — a well, a school, a copy of the Qur'an — is one of three things classically said to continue benefiting a person after death. Many Muslims direct part of the one-third wasiyyah toward it.
In Canadian law
Expressed in a Canadian will as a charitable bequest. A gift to a registered charity also generates a donation tax credit on the final return, which can materially reduce the estate's tax bill.
