A wasiyyah may be revised at any time while the person retains capacity; no particular form is required.
In Canadian law
A codicil must be executed with the same formality as a will. It is now often simpler to make a fresh will, since a codicil separated from its parent document creates exactly the sort of gap that leads to litigation.
