Own site's 'What's Happening' menu lists a 'Weekend School/Madrasa' (Islamic studies program for toddlers, children and youth). The branch's own About page states the current building includes 'a burial prep room, a children's baby-sitting area, and a large-size storage' alongside the prayer hall - this is the direct-quoted basis for mortuary/ghusl = true here; cold storage specifically is not stated so left null. Branch history also states BCMA Victoria established a Muslim cemetery in Victoria in 2003 (38 plots, +62 more purchased 2008) but no cemetery NAME is published on any page checked, so cemeteries_used is left empty rather than guessed - a phone call to the branch would be needed to name it for the directory. UVic's Interfaith Chapel hosts an additional student Friday congregation per this page, but it is a shared multi-faith university space, not a standalone masjid, so it is not listed as a separate entity. Some external sources may still refer to this branch informally as the 'Victoria Muslim Association'; its current, self-described identity is BCMA Victoria Branch / Masjid Al-Iman. transport=true is based on BCMA's central Funeral Services committee page stating 'assistance is also available for ship ins or ship outs' (repatriation), a BCMA-wide service. Victoria is on Vancouver Island, not the Lower Mainland, and this branch has run its own burial service since the 1990s with its own Muslim cemetery plots and an on-site burial prep room. A Victoria family should therefore call the masjid directly on 250-995-1422 first, and treat the 604 hotline as a fallback rather than the primary route.
