These are calculated times, not Omar Bin Khattab Mosque’s jamaa‘ah times. They are worked out in your browser from this masjid’s own coordinates and today’s date, using the ISNA convention — the same arithmetic a printed timetable uses. What a masjid announces is something else: iqamah is set by the masjid, usually a chosen number of minutes after the prayer begins, and many hold it at a fixed clock time for weeks at a stretch. So the two will not match, and they are not meant to. For the times the congregation actually prays, check the masjid’s own site or phone (416) 861-9288.

Janazah & burial services

Community mosque in Regent Park serving the "Toronto Downtown Muslim Community," established around 1992. No official website, working phone number, or postal code could be confirmed this session — sources disagree on the exact street number (232 vs 234 Parliament St). Confidence is low; a human should call/visit to verify current contact details and any janazah capability before treating this as a reliable public contact.

About Omar Bin Khattab Mosque

Masjid Omar Bin Khattab serves the Regent Park and downtown Toronto community from 232 Parliament Street, describing its mission as providing a welcoming and inclusive space for Muslims and non-Muslims alike, open 8am to 11pm. Its operating charity, the Muslim Community of Downtown Toronto, was a registered charity in the category Islam and filed T3010 returns through the 2023 fiscal year, but the CRA revoked its registration for failure to file with effect from 11 May 2024. The mosque itself remains in operation: its own website publishes current prayer and Jumu'ah times, contact details and programmes.

From the organisation’s own pages, checked 13 Aug 2026 — see the sources below.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: On-site mortuary, Cold storage, Ghusl facility, Ghusl for women, by women, Kafan (shroud), Transport of the deceased and more. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
