The masjid lists three funeral coordinator numbers - 416-877-4783, 647-891-7257 and 416-691-2008 - and the email bamdcc@gmail.com. It states funerals 'are typically arranged promptly, usually within a few days of passing'. No 24-hour line is advertised and no funeral office hours are given, so 24h_line is left unconfirmed; the masjid's school office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30 AM-3:00 PM on 416-691-2008 / 647-891-7257) are the only published hours for those two numbers. The coordinator arranges transfer, ghusl, kafan and the cemetery.

Worked out from this masjid’s coordinates for today’s date. They are not Baitul Aman Masjid (Danforth Community Center)’s announced jamaa‘ah times — those are set by the masjid and usually differ. Check danforthcommunitycenter.org for the jamaa‘ah timetable.

These are calculated times, not Baitul Aman Masjid (Danforth Community Center)’s jamaa‘ah times. They are worked out in your browser from this masjid’s own coordinates and today’s date, using the ISNA convention — the same arithmetic a printed timetable uses. What a masjid announces is something else: iqamah is set by the masjid, usually a chosen number of minutes after the prayer begins, and many hold it at a fixed clock time for weeks at a stretch. So the two will not match, and they are not meant to. For the times the congregation actually prays, check the masjid’s own site or phone (416) 691-2008.

Janazah & burial services
Located near Victoria Park/Danforth in 'Little Bengal'; primarily serves the Bangladeshi community with separate Bengali and English Friday khutbahs. Housed in a former restaurant building undergoing fundraising to purchase the property. Imams listed as Shaikh Magdi Alsihiti, Hafiz Syed Ahmed and Hafiz Masud Karim. SITE NOW READ IN FULL 2026-08-16 - THE EARLIER 'would not render' PROBLEM IS SOLVED. danforthcommunitycenter.org is a React single-page app that serves an empty HTML shell to a plain fetch, which is why previous passes saw nothing. Its content is loaded at runtime from the masjid's own API at api.danforthcommunitycenter.org/server, and those endpoints were queried directly, so everything below comes from the organisation's own published content rather than a proxy's rendering of it. PHONE ADDED (was blank): 416-691-2008, which appears four times in the site's own JavaScript bundle as the masthead number and again in the school pages. JANAZAH, QUOTED FROM THE MASJID'S OWN FUNERAL PAGE: it 'offers comprehensive, community-based Islamic funeral services, including bathing (ghusl), shrouding (kafan), janazah prayer, and burial arrangements', with 'Coordination of funeral rites, assistance with documentation, and preparation of the deceased according to Islamic traditions' - hence ghusl, kafan, funeral prayer and burial coordination are all confirmed. Transport of the deceased, an on-site mortuary, cold storage, ghusl for women by women, and a 24-hour line are NOT mentioned and stay unconfirmed rather than false. TWO CAUTIONS FOR WHOEVER PUBLISHES THIS. First, the funeral copy is written in the third person about the masjid ('They aim to facilitate...') and closes with a generic Ontario price range, which reads like an AI-drafted blurb pasted into the masjid's CMS rather than staff-written copy; the service list and the phone numbers are specific to this masjid and are used, but the price range is explicitly disclaimed above. Second, the site contains at least one unedited template placeholder ('+1 123 456 7890' in the bundle), so its content is not uniformly proof-read. The three funeral numbers are nonetheless the masjid's own published contacts; 416-877-4783 is listed first and is recorded as the janazah line, with 647-891-7257 and 416-691-2008 as alternates. SCHOOL PROGRAMMES (from the same API): Weekend Islamic School Sat-Sun 11:00 AM-2:00 PM for children 5 and up, boys and girls in separate classes; Evening Islamic School Mon-Thu 5:00-7:00 PM for ages 7 and up, also separate classes; Part-Time Hifz Mon-Fri 5:00-7:00 PM; and a Full-Time Hifz class Mon-Fri 8:30 AM-3:00 PM under school coordinator Br. Masud Karim. school.full_time is deliberately left unset: the full-time programme is a Hifz class, not a full-time day school teaching the Ontario curriculum, and marking it full_time would imply a registered private school. Fees for all programmes are 'call or visit the office'.
Each line below is either confirmed from the organisation’s own material or marked as not confirmed. We publish the gaps rather than guess at them.
The masjid publishes no price. Its own funeral page says in terms that 'specific prices for Baitul Aman are not listed' and then quotes a general Ontario range of $7,000 to $15,000 - that is a generic provincial figure, NOT this masjid's fee, and must not be read as one. Ask the funeral coordinator for the actual cost.

About Baitul Aman Masjid (Danforth Community Center)
Baitul Aman Masjid (operating as Danforth Community Center) was established in August 2008 in a former restaurant space on Danforth Avenue, on the border of East Toronto and Scarborough, and became a registered charity effective January 2009. Serving a largely Bangladeshi-origin 'Little Bengal' neighbourhood, it runs two Friday jumu'ah services (a Bengali khutbah and an English khutbah) and offers religious instruction, dawah, and support services for immigrants, refugees, and the unemployed.
From the organisation’s own pages, checked 16 Aug 2026 — see the sources below.
What we haven’t confirmed
We could not establish: On-site mortuary, Cold storage, Ghusl for women, by women, Transport of the deceased, 24-hour janazah line. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.
Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?
The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
