Muslim cemetery owned and run by the Prairie Muslim Association, in operation since 2022, on Range Road 3062 near Vanscoy (the site describes it as a ten-minute drive from the PMA masjid, near Bucks Auto Salvage). The parcel is roughly 80 acres of agricultural land with about 10 acres set aside for the graveyard, so the acreage figure is the planned burial area rather than developed ground. Published prices: plot $1,500, opening and closing $1,300, optional headstone $800. Roughly a dozen burials had taken place as of the page's last update. Contact 306-374-7860 or pmasask@yahoo.ca.

Mosques that bury here

These organisations name this cemetery on their own funeral pages. That is confirmation from the masjid, not from the cemetery.

Arranging a burial here

  1. Contact the masjid handling the janazah first — most cemeteries deal with the funeral provider rather than the family directly.
  2. Ask what the plot costs and, separately, what opening and closing the grave costs. They are almost always billed apart, and the second surprises people.
  3. Ask whether the section faces qiblah and what markers are permitted.
  4. See what a Muslim burial costs across Canada before you commit — plot prices vary more than fourfold between cities.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: whether there is a designated Muslim section. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
