DhuhrJust after the sun crosses the meridian

MaghribAt sunset

These are calculated times, not Mississauga Muslim Community Center (MMCC)’s jamaa‘ah times. They are worked out in your browser from this masjid’s own coordinates and today’s date, using the ISNA convention — the same arithmetic a printed timetable uses. What a masjid announces is something else: iqamah is set by the masjid, usually a chosen number of minutes after the prayer begins, and many hold it at a fixed clock time for weeks at a stretch. So the two will not match, and they are not meant to. For the times the congregation actually prays, check the masjid’s own site or phone (905) 270-4900.

Janazah & burial services

About Mississauga Muslim Community Center (MMCC)

MMCC's own about page states: 'Mississauga Muslim Community Center (MMCC) was established in Mississauga Toronto in 2007. The building was purchased from the Sikh community, running a Gurudwara here. After buying it, the building was converted to the mosque with the intention of imparting religious education to our children.' CRA registered MISSISSAUGA MUSLIM COMMUNITY CENTRE (864213350RR0001) effective 2004-12-19 at 2505 Dixie Rd - the centre's own address - almost three years BEFORE the date the centre gives for its establishment, which suggests the charity was the vehicle used to buy the building. The centre is the Mississauga arm of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Canada; its masjid is named Jame Al-Mustafa.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: Burial coordination, the Jumu’ah time. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
