Prayer times at Malton Islamic Centre

Worked out from this masjid’s coordinates for today’s date. They are not Malton Islamic Centre’s announced jamaa‘ah times — those are set by the masjid and usually differ. Check maltonislamiccentre.com for the jamaa‘ah timetable.

Today

Calculated prayer times for Malton Islamic Centre, Mississauga, for today’s date.
PrayerBegins
FajrDawn — ends at sunrise
SunriseFajr ends; no prayer at this moment
DhuhrJust after the sun crosses the meridian
AsrSet by the shadow ratio you choose below
MaghribAt sunset
IshaNightfall

These are calculated times, not Malton Islamic Centre’s jamaa‘ah times. They are worked out in your browser from this masjid’s own coordinates and today’s date, using the ISNA convention — the same arithmetic a printed timetable uses. What a masjid announces is something else: iqamah is set by the masjid, usually a chosen number of minutes after the prayer begins, and many hold it at a fixed clock time for weeks at a stretch. So the two will not match, and they are not meant to. For the times the congregation actually prays, check the masjid’s own site or phone (905) 453-6943.

Jumu’ah

Azaan 1:15 pm khutbah 1:30 pm, salaah 2:00 pm - one jama'ah only

Times shift with the season — confirm on maltonislamiccentre.com before travelling.

About Malton Islamic Centre

The centre publishes no founding narrative. CRA registered MALTON ISLAMIC ASSOCIATION (119029726RR0001) effective 1982-05-31 at 6836 Professional Court, Mississauga - the centre's own address - which is the only dated record of its origin and is what `founded` reflects. It is a separate organisation from the larger Malton Masjid a short distance away (Anjuman-e Anwarul Islam of Malton, 127593192RR0001, registered 1990-01-01), with which it partners for ghusl and body transfer. Its programs are run largely by the Haniff family: Imam and Secretary Shabir Haniff, President Shiraz Haniff and Islamic school coordinator Sr. Bibi Haniff.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: On-site mortuary, Cold storage, Ghusl for women, by women, Kafan (shroud), Transport of the deceased, 24-hour janazah line. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
