Prayer times at Anatolia Islamic Centre

Worked out from this masjid’s coordinates for today’s date. They are not Anatolia Islamic Centre’s announced jamaa‘ah times — those are set by the masjid and usually differ. Check anatoliacentre.ca for the jamaa‘ah timetable.

Today

Calculated prayer times for Anatolia Islamic Centre, Mississauga, for today’s date.
PrayerBegins
FajrDawn — ends at sunrise
SunriseFajr ends; no prayer at this moment
DhuhrJust after the sun crosses the meridian
AsrSet by the shadow ratio you choose below
MaghribAt sunset
IshaNightfall

These are calculated times, not Anatolia Islamic Centre’s jamaa‘ah times. They are worked out in your browser from this masjid’s own coordinates and today’s date, using the ISNA convention — the same arithmetic a printed timetable uses. What a masjid announces is something else: iqamah is set by the masjid, usually a chosen number of minutes after the prayer begins, and many hold it at a fixed clock time for weeks at a stretch. So the two will not match, and they are not meant to. For the times the congregation actually prays, check the masjid’s own site or phone (905) 629-0477.

Jumu’ah

About Anatolia Islamic Centre

The centre's 'Who we are' page states that 'Anatolia Islamic Centre (AIC) was established in 1998 and is dedicated to serving the needs of the Muslim community', and that it 'has a long history of religious and social involvement within both the vibrant and diverse Islamic community, as well as in the greater Canadian society'. Its site footer identifies it as 'Islamic Community Milli Görüş | Anatolia Islamic Centre Mississauga', with copyright held by 'ICMG Anatolia Islamic Centre'. Its amenities page describes 'A large mosque endowed with capacity for 1000 worshipers. The second floor contains an oratory for women with capacity for 500 worshipers.' CRA's Charities Listing records ANATOLIA ISLAMIC CENTRE, BN 868256496RR0001, Mississauga ON, as Registered with an effective date of status of 1998-01-13 — the same year the centre gives for its founding. Its funerals page notes that the centre's funeral services 'are in no way associated with Islamic Cemetery Trust' and that AIC has 'no bearing or influence on the fees charged by the Trust'.

Tradition — as the organisation describes itself

Sunni. The centre's own mission page lists among its core principles: 'Guiding Muslims to live according to the whole of the orders and prohibitions of Allah, which is the way of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaat.' We publish how a community describes itself — never our own categorisation of it.

What we haven’t confirmed

We could not establish: the Jumu’ah time. Those are published as gaps rather than filled with a plausible guess. If you know the answer — especially if you are from this organisation — tell us and we will verify and update the listing.

Planning ahead, rather than in a crisis?

The two things a funeral coordinator asks a family for are the burial wishes and the will. Recording where your will is kept and working out the inheritance shares now spares your family both questions at the worst possible moment.
