About Masjid Ibrahim

Masjid Ibrahim is a project, not yet a building. PICC describes it as 'the largest mosque construction project in Canada', to be built at 5 Clementine Drive in Brampton, and says it is 'a community project under the umbrella of Peel Islamic Cultural Centre, which is a charitable organisation serving the Muslim community in Brampton since 2008.' CRA registered Peel Islamic Cultural Center (827304692RR0001) effective 2010-07-16 at 34-499 Ray Lawson Blvd, Brampton - the same office address the centre publishes - two years after the date it gives for the start of its service. In the meantime the centre operates four musallas (Taha, Taaseen, Yaaseen and Darul Arqam), and Ibrahim Islamic School was 'Established in 2022'. The published figures for the future masjid - 83,000 sq ft, 6,000 musallis, a 600-student school, a funeral and burial facility - describe the design, not anything currently standing.
