About Brampton Islamic Centre (BSIA)

The centre states that 'Brampton Islamic Centre, previously ‘The Harvest Worship Center’, was purchased by members of the Muslim community in 2005', converting a church into a masjid with a large prayer hall and an adjacent multipurpose hall. Its operating body, the Brampton Sunnatul Islamic Association, was registered as a charity by CRA effective 1999-07-01 - six years before the building was bought - and the centre publishes the number itself: 'Our Charitable No: 87196 6248 RR 00001'. The congregation has since grown enough that the centre runs two Friday jama'ahs 'to accommodate the size of our congregation'.
